A weekend of firsts...

Watching your children grow up is such a bitter-sweet thing. Lately when I have been looking at Chloe I realize how much she has grown, we now carry on conversations!

This weekend Chloe had two firsts! Both left me a little misty-eyed.

Chloe was able to ride a REAL horse for the first time this weekend! This was a big deal to me since as a youngin' I had two horses and showed them actively. Growing up horses were my life! Chloe LOVED riding the horse, named Sam. I got a picture, I will post that shortly. I was SO excited because when we got home, my mom had a bag of hand-me-downs from my cousin and what did we discover in the bag....yes....cowgirl boots! Pink and white, light up boots at that! Chloe slept in them that night.

On Sunday, we went to church and when we started to register the kids they informed me that Chloe needed to go to the new room. She had always gone to the nursery with Evan since Evan is shy and she would help him to feel comfortable. But on Sunday, Chloe went to her very first Sunday school class! Evan came to worship with us, then I took him to the nursery when the sermon started. Evan cried when I left him...but I'm told he calmed down quick. It is hard to leave when you hear that gut wrenching cry! Chloe LOVED her class, she came back with her learning sheets AND a picture of a horse that she drew.

Ah, watching them grow is so neat... I love being a mom!

Cheers,
Beth

Watching those little ones grow is SO bitter sweet... I love it and I hate it all at once. One time I remember you saying you looked at your son/s and said "Who gave you permission to grow up" and I can really understand why you said that/ felt that!
