Successful Week!

This past week I have tackled SO many things on my to do list...what a great feeling!

I painted the powder room a BRIGHT green color! I love it, it is really 'unexpected' as my mom says but still fits in the house. I accented the room with a fur rug, branches on the side of the toilet, a basket behind the toilet, and neat candle holders on each side of the mirror.

I painted a red stripe around Evan's room, which makes his room look complete... It looks GREAT! My plan for Evan's room is a Vintage Sports Theme and I am using some of Adam's old sports 'stuff' to decorate. It is turning out really neat!

I got my herb garden planted. I can't wait to start cooking with some of my herbs! My biggest hurtle will be to not kill the plants... I DON'T have a green thumb at all!

The highlight of my weekend was when I was rummaging through boxes downstairs trying to think of a way to make Chloe's curtains for cheap. I ran across a sheer that had trendy flowers embroidered onto it. Then I remembered that I had bought a bunch of buttons for scrap booking a while back. The buttons are all pink, green, and yellow...the colors that I wanted for Chloe's room! So...I washed up the old sheer and started sewing buttons in the middle of the flowers and green buttons on the tips of the 'stems'... It is about 1/4 done, and it is turning out so cute...plus it didn't cost a DIME! I'm so excited to see how it turns out!

I will try to post some pictures of all my doings!

Cheers,
Beth
